We designed for JBFCS a direct mail print brochure for the orthodox religious communities in Brooklyn on the topic of family violence. We interviewed a wide range of people affected by this issue and prepared our approach.
We learned that women often distrusted photography but that men were tech savvy and enjoyed online media. Because the women feared their children might be in the photos, privacy was vital. We also learned that the Jewish-based, privately-funded, JBFCS was not more trusted than any governmental agency. Taking that into account, we developed content and designed communications that became successful over time. Today there are men’s groups and children’s classes that meet regularly.
